    President/Director of Sales

    Darla’s career began at an architectural firm in Detroit. When the firm relocated to SE Florida, Darla jumped at the chance to go with them. After spending several years helping make other firms a success, Darla decided it was time to branch out on her own. She and her husband Mike started Contract Furniture, Inc in 1998. They are very proud of the amazing staff and the long-term client relationships that have been established over the years. When she’s not working, Darla enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys good food (especially when it’s prepared by others), good wine, and good friends.

    VP/Director of Operations

    A Michigan native, Mike escaped to warm, sunny Florida more than 40 years ago. In addition to making sure everything at CFI is running smoothly, Mike enjoys riding motorcycles and collecting Harley memorabilia. Mike is a lover of all sports — especially football. But what he really enjoys the most is spending time with his family, his wife Darla, and his granddaughter.

    Stacy and her family relocated to Florida from the Midwest to enjoy the warm weather, sun, and sand. When Stacy isn’t in the office, you’ll find her spending time with her family, hanging out at the beach, and binge-watching HGTV or Netflix.

    Director of Design

    Originally from Michigan, Kristen is the biggest Michigan State fan — but don’t count out her alma mater, University of Cincinnati. Kristen has been in the commercial furniture industry since 2010 and received her Florida Interior Design Registration in 2019. While Kristen loves designing great spaces for CFI clients, she’s also a huge “Disneyphile”. Making Walt Disney World a pretty common weekend destination for her, her husband, daughter, and bonus-daughter. When she’s not hanging out with “Mickey”, Kristen enjoys baking, sitting down with a good book, and spending time with her family.

    Account Coordinator

    Looking to escape the harsh, cold winters of the Northeast, Carmen decided to settle in sunny Florida in 2018. In addition to helping coordinate all the different pieces of a client remodel, Carmen enjoys the theater, traveling, and attending arts and craft fairs. Whenever she’s asked if she misses living in New York, her answer is always the same, “some rain beats shoveling a couple of feet of snow.”

    Joe is originally from Illinois, just outside of Chicago. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Marketing. He was tired of only having 3 months of summer and wanted it year-round, which is why he decided to move to Tampa. In his free time, he enjoys being at the beach and doing anything involving being outside

    New Business Development

    A graduate from the University of Tampa with a degree in International Business and Marketing, Nina was born and raised in the Tampa area. In addition to helping CFI develop new business, Nina loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, camping, and exploring new coffee shops.

    Ally was born and raised in a small town in Massachusetts. She traveled to the sunshine state to attend college at the University of Tampa, where she graduated with an Advertising and Public Relations degree. Out of the office she enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading, listening to music and laying by the pool.

    Sales and Marketing Coordinator

    Carley was born and raised in the small town of Harrisburg, North Carolina. She graduated from Wingate University with a degree in Business. Recently, she relocated to the Tampa area and is excited to explore the city. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in the sun and shopping.

    Tom

    Installation Manager

    With 21 years of experience in the furniture industry, Tom’s focus at CFI is on installations. He manages the shipping and receiving of all products, organizes and manages the warehouse, and lends his skills in the shop whenever major refurbishment projects and resizing of panel systems are a priority.

    Kim

    Project Manager

    Kim is a Pennsylvania native, although she’s been in Miami for many years. Kim has a degree in Interior Design from FIU, she has enjoyed a working relationship with some of Miami’s most recognized firms. In addition to being our South Florida Project Manager, Kim is an artist and art educator.

    When she’s not working or teaching, she likes to spend time at the beach, any and all outdoor activities, cooking and eating healthy. She is currently working on her fall garden with her husband.
